I think the opposite!
Why let English rule the world?
And why should we be happy with English being used clumsily, by people who don't know it well, "just to get the message across"?
As you point out, there are half-decent translation programs available, so if someone doesn't understand your language they can look it up.
I wish everyone would post in their own languages, and I'm always delighted when I see something on here that is not in English.

I think some people do want to restrict their posts, two people from their own country. I know many others, who have many languages. I’m a bit shy in those few I have some time with. And yes, I use a translator, to read some of these posts. Or respond to them. But I do not use Google translate. There are others as good or better. But Google always harvests your information. What other languages do you speak?

@rrraksamam Yes many do, most of them I think. If it is free? Then you are the product. Your answer does not surprise me. Because there are people who might take offense That’s who you are. But your name tells me a lot. Thank you for your trust, and thank you for being careful.

@SatyrService My name is special. Very very special. I chose it for a very particular reason, and I use it everywhere

I did it once to prove a point.
There was someone who kept making biblical posts and commenting on political posts, but stating she wasn't prejudiced
She then made a post asking people to pray with her, so i did. I shared with her the Lord's prayer but in arabic
She blocked me

@BabyLonia That is fucking awesome! You are my hero. The thing about Arabic, and this was true and Catholicism until they dropped the Latin, is that both of those languages can be very poetic, especially Arabic, and listening to beautiful poetry evening the link but you don’t understand can be inspiring. I am not a believer, but I do enjoy some of the Psalms, and the surahs

@SatyrService for me it is the assumption that no arabs are Christian.
The bible is printed in arabic, urdu, hindi, punjabi, thai, japanese
But yes arabic is so poetic
