Stupidity at a whole new level

There is something quite disturbing and stupid about what I am noticing. But I am coming across so many Arab mothers who speak to their kids in English! Why the hell would anyone not pass their language to their kids, I will never understand. What makes it even more ironic is that they live in an Arab country, and the parents themselves don't speak that good of an English!! Most of them admit their kids to private schools where there is such emphasis on English, but why the heck are the parents not speaking to their kids in their native language so that they'd learn it. I am seriously unable to understand the benefit or the reason behind that.. and you find them sometimes bragging in a way that their kids can't speak Arabic 🤷‍♀️ Failing to speak their native language isn't something to brag about. Stupidity at a whole new level.
