Is the word 'illiteracy' just a case of language being a bit of a twat?

To have a difficult word to refer to a difficulty with words is really compounding the issue. :)

Really drives it home eh?

No!

I am not demeaning those who genuinely find words difficult to learn (I have always struggled with maths), but that's not the fault of the language (nor of mathematics).

Nor do I swear at things I find difficult. I might swear at me, but not them.

Would that be a Catch22 ? Kinda maybe

Right up there with "lisp" being a challenge for those who, er, struggle with that sort of elocution.
