In what context? 4 & 6 seem the best. But how do you know the person making the comments is an islamic-extremist?

@ElwoodBlues it is not about the person, but about the comments specifically. The background is about how to talk about what individuals have said. Just now I found out that comments are more correct. But I am still unsure about whether one can say that specific comments are islamic-extremist or extremist-islamic. So it is about what words to use to say it correctly...word choice

@DiStefano I see. Then there's an ambiguity there, because the adjectives can apply to either the comments or the people who left the comments. And if the adjectives apply only to the comments, they still sort of imply the person who left them is also extremist. Perhaps "extremist sounding" gives you a little more wiggle room.

@ElwoodBlues Generally, I don't think matters are necessarily black or white and that simple. I would rather say such a person "could be" extremist. But a comment on its own or even several comments (e.g. in one topic) does not necessarily mean a person is an extremist (although it is possible). Humans are more complex imho. And it is sometimes difficult to decide whether such a person is generally extremist, just in one sphere or is just saying it for fun or in order to provoke a reaction or interest at all etc. In that case one needs to know more about it. But as I said before, I asked what kind of word is the right choice that I could use for comments: islamic-extremist or extremist-islamist or extremist-islamic?

I lean toward your #3 but, I"d temper it from a comment made by former New England QB Tom Brady when he said that stepping out on to the field, "sometimes ya just gotta sling it."
