Yesterday's attack on the synagogue in Manchester

Has affected more than I was prepared for.

I heard about lunch time someone saying they'd been an attack and people were dead and injured.

I zoned out on the rest. Didn't hear Manchester etc. My friend Martin was saying "Are you OK?".

I was then scrabbling for my phone. My bf Adam is Jewish. Well his Dad is, his mum not therefore apparently Adam isn't either. He doesn't believe and isn't a regular synagogue attendee.

But yesterday was Yom Kippur. He'd gone to visit his Dad in London and was observing it with his father which he does every year.

His phone was off. I left voicemail and texts. Then finally listened to reports properly. I knew he was nowhere near Manchester.

I spoke to him yesterday evening and was crying. He's like "Why are you crying?". I was like but some moron could have killed you just because of your heritage. I was reminded of Grandad talking about all the "No Irish" signs he encountered back in the day.

Just an idea folks.
Stop fucking hating people just cos they are different.

were you affected by the children dying of hunger in gaza because of jews?
