A promise that over generations has been kept..because history is littered with the corpses of those who plotted against us.. Greeks Romans, Nazis.. Persians, dozens more - the joke about Jewish holidays was they tried to kill us, we survived lets eat..Chanukah, Purim - we made holidays and special foods over their failures to do us in.. then we stopped with the holidays but they still fail and find themselves destroyed..

So a promise and a warning - one with teeth in it.. When we carry the word of G-d before us in battle we prevail.. and we have never failed to carry his word before us.. Israel - 1948, 1967, 1973 and onto today...Iran, Syria, Gaza, Lebanon, Yemen.. does anyone really want to mess with us and bare the results? If they are ignorant.. and filled with stupidity and hatred and have a death wish .. they try..
