@jodiez I'm going to believe that you actually know what that means, as you are truly into music (some people of your stated age likely think "classic" was rock from when they were 12, or stuff from around 2000).

What are some bands you like, from your point of view as a bass player? For instance, do you like John McVie's lines for Fleetwood Mac? Or the more pronunced line in, say, MJ's Billie Jean or Thriller?
