I remember living in Bahrain during Ramadan. Eating or drinking outside during fasting hours was prohibited for everyone and they used to fire a cannon to signify the breaking of the fast. My dad used to take me to a colleague's house for Eid and we'd have Arabic tea and coffee and then have food with everyone sitting on the floor with the food in the middle. Then I'd get money, which was clearly one of my favourite bits 😌
