I Have Legitimate Concerns About Islam And That's Not Bigotry

Who do you think are the people supporting the murderer with commentson the internet? It's the moderate's that are too cowardly to join ISIS. see the article below

As an Arab, the Middle East’s reaction to Orlando left me speechless…

Posted on June 15, 2016

Each page’s comment section was inundated with posts showing sympathy towards the attacker, praising him for his actions and wishing death upon members of the international LGBT community. Comments ranged from jokes about the incident and how “the gays had it coming,” to long du’as (religious supplications), wishing death upon gays and lesbians, as well as asking God to grant the killer “the highest place in paradise.” I considered collecting screenshots of these comments to raise awareness about the amount of hatred towards the gay community in the Middle East, but it soon dawned on me that such a task would be impossible.
There were simply too many hateful comments, with thousands celebrating the attack, from Tunisia to Egypt, Iraq and Saudi Arabia. It was only through deep digging that a single person who expressed so much as a shred of sympathy to the victims and their families, or even condemned the blatant massacre that took place could be found. If you don’t speak Arabic, visit Al Jazeera Arabic’s Facebook page and scroll down until you see a post about the Orlando attack and note what the top three “reactions” (newly added Facebook feature) are.

That is so depressing indeed! The hateful people amongst us (think Arabs celebrating this attack) or Trump supporters and Gun fanatics who want their way or the highway are winning and replacing peace and love with hate. It is the duty of every love and peace loving individual to fight this bigotry everywhere.

I lived in the Gulf for 5 years and know how it can be, but luckily I was in a more civilized and cultured part of it. I lived in Muscat, Oman.

It isn't just Islamic's or Muslims who deplore gays or others for whatever reasons.
"HATE" is flourishing world wide. We create and react to Hate with more Hate. Christians will respond back and feel justified in doing. It is just creating more Hate.
Can people honestly Love One Another!? Isn't that the basic core of how we are to be with each other. Everyone wants to see Respect from others ... but we have to show Respect to others as well.

Bellybutton. I completely disagree with you as does the author of this article. It is the duty of the so called " moderate Muslims" to fight this. Who do you think are the people supporting the murderer with comments? Its the moderate's that are too cowardly to join ISIS. It's not every individual's. Its their faith that they alllowed terrorists into. Instead of sitting home and defending it, they should be forming reforms and ousting fanatical mullahs
