It's disturbing when someone creates a group that basically translates to:

"I'm a bigot, and that's not bigotry."

@satanburger: That's not what I said. But yes, bigotry is alive and well to a far greater degree than I had realised. Religion generally has many shortcomings, not just Islam.

@satanburger: Or maybe you just enjoy being a bigot.

fazer1k Being concerned about Islam IS NOT bigotry nor is it racism as Islam IS NOT a RACE but an IDEOLOGY and a very barbarous one! Why can't people get that into their heads!!!

@satanburger: I too was blocked because of my views on Islam, this gentleman has obviously not looked up the violent verses in the Q'ran and the Hadith which are the words of Allah and his "prophet" Mohamed, urging followers of Islam to violence against people of other creeds.

@berangere: Do you hold the same views about Christian fundamentalists? The fact people complain about Islam, a primarily non-white religion yet remain unconcerned about other forms of terrorism like the KKK who claim to be 'soldiers of god', or the 'god hates fags' Christians proves beyond all doubt it's racism. Why don't people get that into their heads.

@fazer1k: Islam is an IDEOLOGY that is not based on race, there are Muslims of every races in the world,Islam is a real danger to the world as it has not evolved beyond the 7th century,Christianity no longer stones people to death, behead, cuts limbs,as it is still being done in Muslim countries NOW. ISIS follows a pure form of Islam's sharia law as dictated by the so called "prophet Mohamed" that Muslims consider the "perfect"man. Please look it up.As for the KKK,they are not as active as they used to be,we don't hear of lynching any more even if they still get together to vent their ideas. But look what happens in so called Muslims countries like Dubai where women who are raped end up in jail for having committed adultery!!! Please look at my latest post.

@berangere: I'm well aware of the facts. I don't agree with what you are saying, that's all. Not all Muslims are extremists, just as not all Christians are extremists. The Bible says you can kill people for following a different faith but i don't see anyone creating a group targeting Christianity.
berangere · 80-89, F
@fazer1k: No not all Muslims are extremists, but the ideology is a very dangerous and barbarous one, as it is being applied NOW.look at the amount of terrorist attacks all over the world and the thousands deaths that result. Those terrorists attacks are not caused by Christians,Jews nor any other religions. The aim of those Islamic extremists,(and they are far more numerous than one realises, you just have to look at what happened in Indonesia recently, and the amount of Muslim extremists manifesting in the streets to demand the Christian politician be jailed) is to establish Islam and spread sharia law world wide in its most fundamental form and they don't make a secret about it.Have you looked at the Muslim brotherhood and their agenda?

@berangere: Islamic terrorists only became a real problem after the allied forces targeted them. That has nothing to do with their faith.

Christian ideology is no better than Islam when taken literally by fundamentalists. Religious doctrine, generally, is dangerous in the hands of fundamentalists.

I believe race is a huge factor here. When is the military planning on eliminating Christian extremists? They are white so that's different, of course.

I agree with you that Islamic extremists are dangerous. That does not mean its right to discriminate against anyone who follows the same faith, just as we don't assume it's right to judge all Christians by the ideology of Christian fundamentalist groups.

@fazer1k: We are talking about what is happening NOW and not what happened centuries ago when the Christians extremists behaved as the Muslim extremists behave NOW. There are many Christians in Muslim countries in the Middle East and Africa, not all Christians are white and those Christians are being persecuted by Muslims in those countries, their churches destroyed and desecrated.By the same token not all Muslims have darker skins. So again it has nothing to do with RACE and everything to do with IDEOLOGY.It is not the Christian extremists who pose a great danger to the world at the moment but the Muslim ones, regardless of the reasons given for their acts of terrorism causing the death of thousands.

@satanburger: Of course in all religions that have problems with a violent and intolerant ideology, "not all" who happen to follow such creeds are violent and intolerant, but those who are usually are the ones who cause the problems and who are determined their ideology will prevail by whatever means is open to them.In the case of Muslims tending towards extremism it is jihad, overt and covert. And sadly this has caused and continues to cause a great loss of human life.
