Narcissistic Religion
I love how my Islamic network are actively sharing about the Muslim Heroic bystander (like they don't believe it) who tackled the attackers who also happen to be Muslim. These posts are just celebrating what a hero he is, who turned out to be Muslim, but actually don't condemn the event, recognize the terrorist act, and talk about it. I agree that he is a hero who deserves recognition (his religion is irrelevant), but the bigger event here is the people who were killed.
Islam is such a narcissistic religion that consequently resulted in narcissistic followers in that particular aspect when it comes to religion. They are not necessarily narcissistic in their day to day life, but when it comes to their religion, they become narcissistic who overcompensate at every opportunity.
So, when terrorist attacks happen, they play the victim role and talk about Islamophobia, instead of condemning and recognizing the real problem resulting in these violent acts, no, it becomes about them and not about the victims. Now in this event, what really matters in this event is that a Muslim man saved lives, but the fact that two Muslim men took lives, that's not something we will talk about.
