If you are a Muslim , then Be proud 🌿💗

There are always haters who will Hate
So remember,
Al-Furqan - Verse 58
{
Put your trust in the Ever-Living, Who never dies, and glorify His praises. Sufficient is He as All-Aware of the sins of His servants.}
&

Ali 'Imran - Verse 186

{and you will certainly hear many hurtful words from those who were given the Scripture before you and ˹from˺ the polytheists. But if you are patient and mindful ˹of Allah˺—surely this is a resolve to aspire to.}

Proud of what? Being born by chance into the right religion while everyone else will go to hell?
@BitterSweetPotato

“But had I stayed, I would have gone to heaven just due to being born into a Muslim family?

1/ Islam is a belief that lies in the heart. It is a religion. Even if you are born into a Muslim family, if you don’t share the same faith then you are no longer a Muslim.

2/Prophet Mohammed said works are by intentions
If you give zakah because you are forced to and not for God
Or you pray because your family is watching and not for God
They aren’t taken into account.
——-

What sort of actions are required to be considered a Muslim?

To do the pillars of islam and to believe in the core belief of islam.
And take into mind that you need two things in order to go to heaven
Good Deeds and belief not one without the other according to the Quran.

——

When you say "if you are a Muslim, be proud" can you expand on being proud of what?
I was telling Muslims
Wether you were born a Muslim and held onto it
Or converted to it
Then be proud that you are holding onto the truth than hide.
If someone told me they got A+ on an exam after hard work I will also tell them be proud of yourself.

—-
Everyone is tested in this world.
Being born into a Muslim family might have been your test.
Al-'Ankabut - Verse 2
{
Do people think once they say, “We believe,” that they will be left without being put to the test?
}

I hope I answered your questions.

Then if I had the faith of Islam in my heart BECAUSE I WAS BORN MUSLIM, I will go to heaven, and I should be proud about it? This seems lucky, no reason to be proud for getting lucky! it is very easy to hold onto something you were born into, and that you were taught as a child to be. the absolute truth. So no, you did not answer my question, what is it to be proud about, when you are born into a Muslim family? Should the rich be proud for being born rich? Should we be proud of our family names?

Why not be proud of Muslim achievements and contribution to the world? I know why not. It is because, unfortunately, most if not all of modern day achievements and contribution are that of the non-Muslim west. The muslim world has been always just a consumer, but yes we should be proud.

I think I answered your question thoroughly but perhaps you did not read but I am more than happy to answer you again :

Being born into a Muslim household does not guarantee you heaven. You need to be a Muslim yourself.
Many people such as you were born into a Muslim household but then left the religion.
Or are still Muslim by name but not by Intention or by action hence are not Muslim anymore.
Al-Ahqaf - Verse 17

{
But one who says to his parents, "Uff to you; do you promise me that I will be brought forth [from the earth] when generations before me have already passed on [into oblivion]?" while they call to Allah for help [and to their son], "Woe to you! Believe! Indeed, the promise of Allah is truth." But he says, "This is not but legends of the former people" -

}

^ from the verse above you can see the Quran itself speaks about Muslim parents with non Muslim kids.

Moreover :
Al-'Ankabut - Verse 2

{
Do the people think that they will be left to say, "We believe" and they will not be tried?
}
God guarantees that he will test Muslims too
Just like he tested you.
So I think these two verses are pretty clear that just because you were born into a Muslim household doesn’t mean you will go to heaven. You are a perfect example.

And never forget that Islam started with one man and one man only.
—————-
“Why not be proud of Muslim achievements and contribution to the world etc….“

I am proud , extremely proud.
We have a history filled with legacies
That I can speak about for hours non stop.
Do you want me to educate you on that for hours ? I can give endless lectures.
And we still have many contributions in our modern day world and while I do agree with you that “today” they are not as many as before But that is due to our modern day political situation and as prophet Mohammed predicted “corruption “
do you have a guarantee that 200 years from now this won’t change ?and that we won’t go back to being on top again ?
You don’t .

And i leave these few verses that I think are enough to reply to you ;

Ali 'Imran - Verse 196-198

{
Do not be deceived by the prosperity of the disbelievers throughout the land.
It is only a brief enjoyment. Then Hell will be their home—what an evil place to rest!
But those who are mindful of their Lord will be in Gardens under which rivers flow, to stay there forever—as an accommodation from Allah. And what is with Allah is best for the virtuous.

{

Does this mean non-Muslims shouldn't be proud?
@Viper we become proud for different reasons , whatever that is.
A grade or promotion or achievement etc
I only encouraged Muslims to be proud being who they are than hide in this post.

Have a good day
Viper · M
@Islamreligion what are the different reasons?
I only encouraged Muslims to be proud being who they are
Absolutely, they should be proud, then again, shouldn't all good people be proud? No matter their religious beliefs?
