You paint Muslims to be against funny pictures

@Babylon i dont mind bombings or the occasional stabbing... thats single mad people. but i will forever resent the muslim world for having an impact on what you can make fun off.
@Madgirl is there a difference between making fun of something and desecrating something?
Madgirl · 26-30, F
@Babylon everything deserves to be ridiculed... nothing is sacred
@Madgirl so, are you indirectly saying you don't care if Muslims are desecrated?
Madgirl · 26-30, F
@Babylon i dont have to say that indirectly... i think the more anyone claims to be untouchable and be respected.. the more they need to pulled down in the dirt
@Madgirl a test of your honesty:

do you believe this of the LGBT community which has also been struggling for respect and to not be desecrated? Or the Jewish community?
Madgirl · 26-30, F
@Babylon absolutely... for example i support chappelles latest show which got a lot of hostility. and the jew i know are actually great at making fun of themself.
@Madgirl I guess you should answer this before we can make sense of your issue:
is there a difference between making fun of something and desecrating something?
Because I see a difference between jokes and desecration

Nobody is against jokes and fun, including Muslims 🤷🏾‍♂️
Madgirl · 26-30, F
@Babylon i think the whole concept of desecration is something you make up as an excuse. maybe you try making sense to it for me but if you think your system of beliefs is so fragile that a simple painting is desecration whatever you believe in is weak shit.
@Madgirl I don't think that you're understanding where I am coming from, which is why I am asking so I can see where you are coming from and I can maybe learn from you. How do you compare racist imagery to fun and jokes about black people? Or antisemitic depictions vs fun and jokes? What is the difference between the two?
Or is there no difference to you at all?

Clearly I think there is a difference. I'm trying to see if the line I think is there is just blurred for you. Or if you indeed have a criteria for what distinguishes between desecration and jokes.

My answer is that it is intentionally demonizing, intentionally insulting, misrepresenting, and out of context. Those to me distinguish between a mere joke and what is desecration/violation of a group.
Madgirl · 26-30, F
@Babylon there are jokes that can be in bad taste and at a wrong time or place. but as long as the intention is to make people laugh or think it never is a bad thing.

however even the foulest racist jokes never justify violence

And I agree to this. I think everyone does
@Madgirl never mind. I think I can kind of see where you are coming from now. Feel free to ask me anything you want to being up that I have not addressed properly

@Babylon explain to me how this qualifies as a desecration... its a rather mild joke. and still people went nuts about this... what does that tell you about those peoples beliefs ?

@Madgirl that picture contains and reinforces an obvious misconception/misrepresentation.

Do you think that jokes permit people to lie and misrepresent people? Which ultimately leads to asking:
Do you see how misrepresentation can cause problems?
This is the most important question to answer.
Also, what do you find funny about that picture? What makes that picture a joke and not a false, demonizing propaganda? 🤔
its a rather mild joke. and still people went nuts about this... what does that tell you about those peoples beliefs ?
I don't know what it would tell me besided them thinking that this picture is problematic and they don't want pictures like this out there.
Madgirl · 26-30, F
@Babylon like i said its a rather bland mild humor... and still millions of people react in a way that they want to kill that creator. the problem here solely with the people completely overreacting to a picture.

every satire always exagerates and points out problems with something.. and in this case the reaction is exactly what the satire is about. that is actually really funny, those people with their reaction proof the picture to be 100% right. their religion has put a bomb in those people head with no hope of redemption.

you're not addressing my questions, but that's fine

Since exaggeration isn't so bad so long as everyone can see it is exaggeration, if you believe satires point out the problems with something, is it satire if it's not pointing out the problem in something and it is instead just making a completely false misrepresentation? If truth is a part of satire, then is it satire if what's being said is false?

@Babylon i am not adressing your questions if you are trying to derail the topic. you are trying to justify hatred and murder towards someone because they made a drawing.

and yeah i can gladly say that anyone who thinks someone deserves to be murdered for whatever drawing is following a completely toxic worldview with no redemption
@Madgirl I am not justifying hatred and murder... your character assassination is backwards and misplaced considering you openly stated support for demonizing slander, smearing, and hatred and you also were justifying that. I didn't call you out on that due to respect and I was assuming the better of you but for you to accuse me of what you did yourself is outlandish and exposes lack of self-awareness. Or a deep hatred of Muslims that just simmers that deep 🤷🏾‍♂️

I apologize for responding to your post since you clearly don't want any discussion and I hope you enjoy your week and can ignore I ever tried to help correct your now seemingly purposeful misrepresenation
Madgirl · 26-30, F
@Babylon there is nothign wrong with hating what hates you... at least i wouldnt resent to violence which isnt the case otherwise, so yeah i feel justified in my view.

and while there are many shades of grey to this you obviosuly dont want to see the darker sides and decide to tolerate the evil.
