I Am Enjoying Being A Muslim

The Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, said:
“When one of you loves his brother, then let him know.”

"The supplication of a Muslim for his (Muslim) brother in his absence will certainly be answered. Every time he makes a supplication for good for his brother, the angel appointed for his particular task says, 'Amen! may it be for you too.'"

"Non of you has faith until he loves for his brother or neighbor what he loves for himself."

"Whoever protects his brother's honor, God protects his face from the Fire on the Day of Resurrection."

Good friends not only care about my relationship with them but also my relationship with God. Friendship is not how long we have been together, it is not how much we have given or received, nor how many times we have helped each other, but it is how we value one another.

how does islam treat apotheists ? how do islam families treat their own kids when they no longer are muslims ?

thats how you should judge a religion... by how they treat those who no longer want to be a part of it.
Madeleine · 41-45, F
@NoSugar The ruling of apotheosis varies. There is no verse in the Quran commands punishment for leaving Islam.
NoSugar · 22-25, F
@Madeleine there is rulings for everything and against everything in quran... it always depends who interprets it... your interpretation isnt the common one.

i guess you are a nice person with some morals... you arent representive for islam you are the weird exception then that most other muslims would shun out

@NoSugar Can you please point out to the verse in the Quran?
NoSugar · 22-25, F
why is it that i have to bring up the quotes here...

you are calling yourself the muslim here its embarassing you dont know your own teachings...

sigh but here is just one i could dig up in under 1 minute

He who disbelieves in Allah after his having believed, not he who is compelled while his heart is at rest on account of faith, but he who opens (his) breast to disbelief-- on these is the wrath of Allah, and they shall have a grievous chastisement.

— Quran 16:106

@NoSugar Thank you for mentioning this verse. But this verse talks about the Day of Judgement. What I meant is that there is no verse in the Quran that commands to punish apotheosis in this life. In fact the Quran emphasizes the freedom of religion and that someone has to be Muslim by choice.
NoSugar · 22-25, F
@Madeleine well let me tell you you are misinterpreting there... most muslims very much see that as punishable on death there are multiple hafiths on this topic.

but you are a picker.. you pick a few quotes out of context that sound nice but have nothing to to with the reality of the majority of muslims
Madeleine · 41-45, F
@NoSugar Even those who believe that leaving Islam is punishable won't quote this verse, because it is clearly talks about what would happen to them on the Day of Judgement.
NoSugar · 22-25, F
@Madeleine like i said its not my job to fickle with this nonsense religious texts... they matter not.. they are garbage.

what matters is how muslims de facto behave...
Madeleine · 41-45, F
@NoSugar If your opinion is about Muslims, then yes I agree with you, some Muslims make mistakes and behave wrongly.. but it's not only Muslims, it's human beings in general.

But if your opinion is about Islam, then religious texts matter because they are the source of the teachings of the religion.

We do not judge a religion based on how its followers behave, but based on what its sources teach. For example, when you have a nice car that is manufactured well, then someone drove that car and hit a wall, which are you going to blame? The car or the poor driver?
NoSugar · 22-25, F
@Madeleine ph boy.. i have this discussion so many times.. why did i start this again... its so exhausting to discuss with religious people...

i am not gonna go through asll these pointless texts again where you will just say they are interpreted wrong and only your interpretation is the right one.

this whole concept alone is obscene... basing any kind of morals on a book written by a child molesting murder warlord 1500 years ago. thats the basic premise. the whole success of islam always been expansion and subduing its neighbors and forcing them into their religion... for centuries..

or should i approach on how religions in general are stupid cause they are fairy tales like dragons and unicorns.
Madeleine · 41-45, F
@NoSugar I did not say that "my interpretation" is the right one, what I'm saying is the verse you are referring to does not exist.

I study and read the Quran on daily bases, there's no verse in the Quran to command Muslims to punish those who leave Islam.. that's why Muslim scholars differed regarding this matter, some would say they should be punished, and others would say no. If there were a verse in the Quran to punish those who leave Islam, the scholars wouldn't have differed, such as the case of punishing murderers, all Muslim scholars, with no exception, agreed on punishing murderers because it's in the Quran.

You find discussions with Muslims tiring because you don't have enough knowledge. I'm sure that you never studied the Quran, which is the main source of Islamic teachings. You are having an opinion on a subject that you don't have knowledge of. There are people who spend a lifetime learning what you are trying to tackle based on Googling information.

I wish you all the best and may God guide both of us to the right path. Amen!
NoSugar · 22-25, F
@Madeleine i hope you grow a brain eventually as you have just proven again that discussing with religious people is a waste of time.

@NoSugar Thank you.
