I Am Enjoying Being A Muslim

The Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, said:
“When one of you loves his brother, then let him know.”

"The supplication of a Muslim for his (Muslim) brother in his absence will certainly be answered. Every time he makes a supplication for good for his brother, the angel appointed for his particular task says, 'Amen! may it be for you too.'"

"Non of you has faith until he loves for his brother or neighbor what he loves for himself."

"Whoever protects his brother's honor, God protects his face from the Fire on the Day of Resurrection."

Good friends not only care about my relationship with them but also my relationship with God. Friendship is not how long we have been together, it is not how much we have given or received, nor how many times we have helped each other, but it is how we value one another.

What you have parroted is just the standard basis for a successful human relationship - we value each other. It has nothing whatever unique to your religion.

@Cynthia Thank you for your comment. Islam emphasizes human relationships and improves it. It is sweet to care for each other, and it is even sweeter when we do through our love for God.

I appreciate the courtesy of you reply, but again you are seeing your religion through both blinkers and rose tinted spectacles. A belief in your weird god may delude you that your relationships are more sanctified, but its a delusion. Also, and it pains me to say this, but your co-religionists are now (and often have been) the greatest haters of each other, the greatest killers. I give you virtually every country that describes itself as islamic.

i know all the arguments against that view. Unfortunately facts always trump beliefs.

@Cynthia There are no Islamic countries nowadays.
NoSugar · 22-25, F
@Madeleine wtf iran, saudi arabia, pakistan, indonesia... how delusional are you...
Madeleine · 41-45, F
@NoSugar These are countries of majority of Muslims, but they are not governed by Islam, so they are not Islamic. It's exactly the same for South American countries, for example, they are countries of majority of Christians/Catholics, but they are not governed by Christianity, so they are not Christian countries per say.

@Madeleine You are deeply misinformed, as well as remarkably blinkered, An Islamic republic is the name given to several states that are officially ruled by Islamic laws, including the Islamic Republics of Afghanistan, Iran, Pakistan, and Mauritania. That is fact.

But to close your eyes to the total control of government by islamists in places like Saudis Arabia, Qatar, Brunei, and a country I know well, Malaysia, is to be blind to the realities if the world.

And to try and use a 'straw man' argument about Christian counties goes ievn further in demonstrating you complete absence of reasoned logic.
Madeleine · 41-45, F
@Cynthia The cross is placed on the flags of England, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden. Are these countries ruled by Christianity?
NoSugar · 22-25, F
@Madeleine are you fucking insane now ?

@Cynthia She is right. No one cares about what is in the dictionary or whatever about what an islamic country is. An islamic country is that is ruled completely by the shariah, which is not anywhere in the world now. Even Suadi Arabia is not an islamic country. yes it has muslim majority, yes they implement many laws, or at least claim so.. But reality is different, and anyone can easily see that comparing reality in there to what is stated in the islamic sources.

so If I say that yeah I’m an islamist, and I become president or a king, but still I have laws which is a mix between legit islamic rules, and other stuff, and All I care about is my personal interests.. then, bruh ! dont come and think that I’m a great muslim khalifa and this is an islamic country..
nrys99 · 26-30, M
@Cynthia @NoSugar Hey , so I just came across something randomly while checking a book by some muslim scholar

So yeah, Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan or whatever don’t really reflect the truth of Islam.
You probably don’t really care anymore, but when I read that I remembered the comments here and thought I had to share it.
Madeleine · 41-45, F
@nrys99 Define an Islamic environment.
