I Am Enjoying Being A Muslim

[big]I learned that if I sell this life for the next, I will win both of them. But if I sell the next life for this, I will lose both of them.[/big]

We must plan for our hereafter carefully, we are going to spend the rest of our life there. No grave has a sign saying, "reserved for elders". So I have to be ready no matter how old I am. This world is like a shadow. If we try to catch it, we will never be able to do so. If we turn our back towards it, it has no choice but to follow us. Paradise is the fruit of a seed planted in this world. It is the retirement package that we save up in all our years of work.

[Quran 43:67]
[quote]"On that Day, friends will be enemies of one another, except for the righteous."[/quote]

To believe there is more. Why would there be ? Do you think this is a trial run ? Gonna be very surprised when your like all the rest of us in the world a stinking corpse turning to compost with the maggots.
Why waste life thinking there will be more just enjoy what you have.
Madeleine · 41-45, F
@Sueisright Interesting. So what is the purpose of life according to you?
Sueisright · 31-35, F
Why should there be a purpose ,what gives you the opinion that we’re here for any bigger reason than say a fly or mosquito or a horse or any other animal?
Why would there be a reason ? Some of us seem to think we’re better than any other animal on earth which is rather a bizarre mistake.
The only thing our knowledge does to us is kill us which makes us the thickest stupidest species on earth.
Sueisright · 31-35, F
Plus why would I worry about my life or the human life as a whole on Earth. The earth is 4.543 billons of years old we are just another parasite that’s on it for a tiny tiny brief time and I’m sure will soon be forgotten
Madeleine · 41-45, F
@Sueisright Everything has a purpose, even a fly and a mosquito have a purpose. Anything that has no purpose, has no worth. Are you saying we are worthless?

You mentioned that the earth is 4.543 billions of years old, how do you think it came to existence?
Sueisright · 31-35, F
Personally I dont care how or why it exists it does simple as that. Me knowing or not knowing why is not going to change anything and is going to make no difference to any day of my life nor any one else’s.
And why do you think you or any one else has a worth ?
What reason would we have a worth we are nothing just the same as every other animal is nothing we don’t live long enough to matter.
You seem to think your or any one else’s existence is important how can it be important when the earth is so old and has changed so much over billions of years.
We will be long forgotten like so much before us it’s just natural progression of any planet.
And the human race been as thick and stupid as it is that day is much closer in coming since all we ever do is damage the earth and each other daily.
The human races arrogance and ignorance will be its own quick downfall as it does nothing good.
Sueisright · 31-35, F
Your living in a fantasy world if think we are important to the earth all we are is yet another parasite on the earth
Sueisright · 31-35, F
It’s like the book you quote from the Koran is 1400 years old so it’s nothing just a bit of rubbish written by a paedophilic child rapist.
Written to control people written to condone the abuse of women and like all religions totally pointless if you look at the big picture.
All religions are made up by men and made up as a way of controlling the people around them and the more they control the more rubbish they added.
Been the earth is billions of years old and has managed itself fine without any religion to run it or humans to bother it for the main percentage of its existence and if look at the big picture we haven’t even been here a thousandth of a second if compare the earths existence to a 24 hour clock
It makes me laugh so much that any rubbish the human race dreams up is important.
Madeleine · 41-45, F
@Sueisright I appreciate your thoughts, but I respectfully disagree. The fact that we know how the earth, or even the universe came to existence should change how we view ourselves and the world at large. I believe that the universe was created by The Creator. This fact made me a believer of God. And as a believer of God, I also believe in prophets, revelations, and the day of judgment. Therefore, I'm living my life accordingly.

Human beings are blessed with many things that made them superior than the animals. I believe that God created us and did put us on earth for two reasons: 1) to develop the earth and make it a great place for living. 2) to live our life according to the teachings of God, so we purify ourselves and improve as individuals, and this will lead us to gain God's mercy to enter Paradise. There's a reason why we were born, and we die. Everything is temporary in this life for a reason.

I see that you have developed an opinion regarding the Quran, but have you read it?
Sueisright · 31-35, F
Yes I have read it once ,I can’t say I wanted to read it again as I have read the bible old and new testaments ,Lao-tzu, Pentateuch, once each and other books of relevance to other religions too,I haven’t found any that are more than fantasy though
Sueisright · 31-35, F
I love how you think humans are blessed and put in earth to make it a great place I’m still laughing.
All the human race has done so far is destroy the earth and will soon be its own downfall.
Sueisright · 31-35, F
And as to superior well I dont know what drugs your on to think that but each to there own
Sueisright · 31-35, F
I think earth has been doing amazingly well without humans to ruin it for billions of years and it will soon sicken of us
Sueisright · 31-35, F
Can I ask if you choose originally to follow Muslim religion or were you brought up into it
Madeleine · 41-45, F
@Sueisright I'm sorry to see how little you think of yourself. If you believe that humans are no different than a fly, then how are we talking to each other now while we are living far apart? It's amazing how we underestimate the human brain.

It's great that you read the Quran. May you tell me please which parts did you disagree with?

I was born in a Muslim family, but I consider myself Muslim by choice, because my belief is based on study and conviction.
Sueisright · 31-35, F
I doubt you have decided for yourself having been brain washed since born like most family’s with any religion, since you’d have had no choice from young you’d never have bothered to consider why you follow what you do as it’s just a normal progression and that you probably also Inflict on your own children now.
It’s one if my main reasons I find religions horrible as they encourage abuse of children by inflicting your own beliefs that were forced on you into them.
It’s one sure way to keep temples, mosques etc full rather than allowing choice.
As to what I disagree with well firstly I could in no way follow or believe anything a paedophile /child rapist said to me and in no way ever want to follow such a person.
It fully condones the abuse of women and children. What a great book I don’t think.
It is hypercritical like all religious books do as I say not as I do.
It has no respect for anyone with different opinions again like most religious books your not allowed to think for yourself.
It serious has double standards on what’s moral and immoral.
Such a joke that your meant to be non materialistic, out of the Muslims I’ve met I’ve never met people worse in terms of been materialistic even to the point they think they own there wives and children.
And the list goes on as I didn’t find one part believable to be truthful and it’s ethics seriously in need.

As to me thinking I’m good better or anything else well we are the only animal on earth that kills each other and other animals just for fun. However we also haven’t been here long and the way we’re heading won’t be here much longer either.

As to thinking it’s great to chat across the world most animals have far better built in instincts whales travel thousands of miles back to there home ground so do many fish also like salmon for instance.
Animals cross the world and back to avoid major cold etc ,I dont think were special since everything we make kills animals and the earth in some way that’s not clever it’s pure ignorance thinking we are better and they total lack or care and respect in all we do.

What you actually underestimate are animals brains sadly.
One thing animals dont do is kill for fun or make things to kill off other species something as a human you seem to think is great
Sueisright · 31-35, F
So I fir sure don’t think the human race is great in any way
Madeleine · 41-45, F
@Sueisright Respectfully, you did not point out what you disagree with in the Quran, or which parts did not make sense to you. Your answer was too general.

You accused me of being brainwashed just because I follow the religion of my family, would you say the same about an atheist who was born to atheist parents?

I believe in Islam simply because it makes sense to me. Bring me something that makes more sense than Islam and I will follow it.

Killing other human beings, or killing animals for fun is inhuman, actually it is forbidden in Islam, according to the Quran. God sent revelations to improve us as human beings and to teach us how we lead our life. There are people who would do horrible things, but people in general are good.

I'm not underestimating animals brain, but I believe that human beings are far more sophisticated. We are able to think, speak, create, and improve. We have morals and dignity.
Sueisright · 31-35, F
I think if you talk to most that say atheist they actually don’t believe and don’t want to believe in things so just don’t care as I’m sure in those homes religion is bottom of the list to be discussed so it’s simply just if no interest and they have far better things in life to do
Sueisright · 31-35, F
Religions do brain wash children from day one atheists don’t care about it simple as so a atheist child will find his or her own way
Sueisright · 31-35, F
I have read numerous books from the Koran to mein kampf to the bible to Harry Potter to the beano. I read for interest and fun I don’t study any book I read it and some goes in some dosent like any person. I don’t profess to know the intricate details of any book as if I could I’d be a genius.
I read the Koran 4 years ago the bible I read last year mein kampf 3 years ago and many more.
I saw nothing I wanted to re read I saw nothing that made me consider if I’m wrong and your right.
I read it like I read all books not to convert myself but to see if there was anything I felt I was missing on.
Currently I’m reading Tom Sharpes books again as humour is far better often.and often in humour a huge amount of truth.
However I will have a think back about the Koran and see what bits I Very disliked and can remember by morning.
Madeleine · 41-45, F
@Sueisright I find most atheists don't want to believe, and don't want others to believe neither. It's difficult for an atheist to spend an hour without mentioning their disbelief in God. Because believing in The Creator is natural, and atheists are fighting their natural feelings.
Sueisright · 31-35, F
I have never said I disbelieve in god to you as it’s not an issue I’d even consider.
Sueisright · 31-35, F
But I ftotally disagree that you if you think I sit here thinking about some fictional space man creating anything.
As I don’t believe in such fairy stories in my mind So i deffinately do not waste my time thinking why
