I Am Enjoying Being A Muslim

The Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) said:
"The learned are heirs of the prophets, and the prophets do not leave any inheritance in the form of (monetary wealth), but they do leave knowledge as their legacy. A person who acquires knowledge, acquires his full share (of this legacy)."

"The seeking of knowledge is obligatory on every Muslim."

Knowledge is that which benefits, not that which is memorized. I learned that Knowledge doesn't come to me, rather I have to seek it. Knowledge makes people humble. Arrogance makes people ignorant.

[Quran 20:114]
"O my Lord, increase me in knowledge"

Please provide evidence that mohammed was a prophet before you go any farther.

@hippyjoe1955 I am sure as soon as you provide evidence that Jesus was, she will get right on it!
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@Pherick Jesus foretold the future. mohammed said that mohammed couldn't do that.
Pherick · 41-45, M
@hippyjoe1955 I do love a good prophecy, always vague and easily misunderstood, those are best kinds!

@Pherick lol

@Pherick So the complete destruction of the temple was hard to understand? How about Jesus walking on water? Is that hard to understand? You see The Christian God was predicted to come to HIS people walking on the water. Sorry you are so ignorant. Nice try though.
Pherick · 41-45, M
@hippyjoe1955 Walking on water isn't a prophesy, its a trick. I never really happened.

The destruction of the temple would be what I would call a "good guess". Nothing mystical about it, just an easy thing to say and it sounds good. If it happens, awesome, he is a prophet, if not, his followers would just say, "Well he meant it in a spiritual way"

:)

@Pherick It was a prophecy. You missed it. Sad. Move on son you have nothing to contribute.
Pherick · 41-45, M
@hippyjoe1955 I will of course move on ...

Just as soon as you post the scripture where Jesus prophesied about himself walking on water ...
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@Pherick You missed what I was saying. You must have a comprehension problem.
Pherick · 41-45, M
@hippyjoe1955 Ummm no I didn't. You said Jesus was a prophet and Mohammed wasn't, then you brought up the temple and walking on water.

So if you were talking about OTHERS giving prophecies about Jesus then you weren't really being forthright, were you? I mean how is it you have to lie and be sneaky to prove your God?

That doesn't sound right ...
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@Pherick Yes did I ever say that Jesus prophesied about His walking on water? NO!
Pherick · 41-45, M
@hippyjoe1955 Except that was the context of the conversation ...

Your first sentence,
Jesus foretold the future. mohammed said that mohammed couldn't do that.

So it seems disingenuous now for you to say "Well I wasn't talking about JESUS's own prophecies", I mean you started this conversation talking about them ...
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@Pherick You read in what was not said. Nice try. Move along.
Pherick · 41-45, M
@hippyjoe1955 Except you did say it, I quoted it again there. Nice try.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@Pherick What I provided was simply two proofs of Jesus' authenticity.
Pherick · 41-45, M
@hippyjoe1955 Its amazing to me how fast you can ignore what you typed above??

I am sure you feel like you won this though, whatever helps you sleep at night!
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@Pherick I ignore most of what you write. You can't read what I write anyways so your responses are more of a joke than something to be taken seriously.
Pherick · 41-45, M
@hippyjoe1955 Thank you for admitting you can't read. Your replies actually make alot of sense now.
