I Am Enjoying Being A Muslim

I learned that knowledge is light and the light of Allah is not bestowed upon someone in a state of sin.

However, regardless of how great and numerous the sins of a person may be, the pardon and forgiveness of Allah is much greater. When someone embraces Islam sincerely, then Allah shall forgive all their past sins, and after that starts the settlement of accounts: the reward of their good deeds will be ten times to seven hundred times for each good deed, and an evil deed will be recorded as it is unless Allah forgives it.

When it comes to doing good, some of us are hesitant. ‘I am such a sinner!’ We may think, ‘Will Allah really appreciate the pathetic deeds that I do when I commit such horribly bad deeds?’ Allah says, [Quran 35:34]
Surely our Lord is indeed Ever-Forgiving, Appreciative.
This gives us the reassurance that even if we commit sinful deeds, we can return to Allah and He will forgive us, while rewarding us for the good. The body's weakness comes from illnesses, while the heart's weakness comes from sins. And just as the body does not taste the delights of food when it is ill, the heart does not taste the delights of worship when it is sinful.

When I am obsessed with something that’s forbidden, it colonizes me. Am I going to liberate myself?

@Milkchocolate You are making a good point. Nobody has the right to judge except God. Yet I feel that this quality is not exclusive to some Muslims, it's, unfortunately, a disease that some people, from all backgrounds, suffer from.

Regarding the idea that homosexuals are murders in "Islamic countries". I'd like to explain that there are no "Islamic countries" nowadays, there are countries of majority of Muslims, i.e. there's no country establishes the Islamic law (shariah) in its full and proper way.

@Milkchocolate I respect your opinion. But I believe that God set boundaries and standards for us to live by. Otherwise, we would be following our desires which can lead to total chaos. Human beings naturally religious, they like to live by certain routine on daily basis. So even the ones who refuse to live by the rules set by God, they would follow rules set by someone else. For me, I'd prefer to follow the rules of my Creator, they are more consistent.

I hope so...what is the muslim opinion of premarital sex?

@sealevelsherpa Sex should be within marriage. It protects families and society at large.
