I Am Enjoying Being A Muslim

I learned that truthfulness is composed of justice and courage.

Truth lifts the heart like water refreshes thirst. The greatest truth is honesty, and the greatest falsehood is dishonesty. As long as I am pure of heart, I speak the truth.

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said:

Yes. Jesus is the Messiah, meaning, the promised deliverer and Savior of the Jewish nation prophesied in the Bible.

There are many many religions out there. But religion didn't die on the cross for our sins so we can be forgiven and go to heaven. Jesus did. Religion across the country is just man-made philosophy. It won't save a soul.

@LadyGrace According the Jewish doctrine, the Messiah should not be killed/crucified. In Islam, we believe that Jesus was not crucified, therefore, he is the Messiah.

@Madeleine That contradicts the whole meaning of Messiah. He can't be a Messiah if he wasn't crucified, yet you call him the Messiah. Messiah means Savior. Over 500 people witnessed his crucifixion. No...he shouldn't have been crucified, but he was. The Jews were looking for a different type of Messiah, they did not realize that he would come as a child to save the whole world from their sins. Now they do, and many hundreds are being converted. I don't think we will come to an agreement on this, so let's just leave it at this.

@LadyGrace We don't have to agree to understand each other.

Messiah comes from the Hebrew word mashiach and means “anointed one” or “chosen one.” It does not mean Savior. According the Jewish doctrine, the Messiah or the one who's chosen by God should never be killed or crucified, that's why they were keen to have Jesus (peace be upon him) crucified to "prove" that he wasn't the Messiah. Muslims believe that Jesus (peace be upon him) was never crucified, that's why he is the Messiah, and he will return to earth before the day of judgement. He will kill the anti-Christ or the false messiah and Jesus, the true Messiah will rule the world justly and according to God's law for number of years, before he dies a natural death just like any human being.

Jesus (peace be upon him) never said that he came to die for our sins, but to convey God's message. He only called the children of Israel to worship the One God, and to do good deeds in order for them enter the Kingdom of God, or Heaven.

@Madeleine These are not the teachings in God's Word, You live by the Koran. I'm sorry. I will just have to disagree on this and move on. I do wish you the best, however.

@LadyGrace Yes, I believe that the Quran is the word of God. But a lot of what I said is mentioned in the Bible, like in [Matthew 19:17]

Here Jesus denied that he was god, and taught that if we want to enter heaven, we must keep the commandments, which is the law. He did not say, believe that I will die for your sins.
