I Am Enjoying Being A Muslim

I learned that truthfulness is composed of justice and courage.

Truth lifts the heart like water refreshes thirst. The greatest truth is honesty, and the greatest falsehood is dishonesty. As long as I am pure of heart, I speak the truth.

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said:
Leave what puts you in doubt for what does not put you in doubt. The truth brings tranquility while falsehood sows doubt.

You must be truthful. Verily, truthfulness leads to righteousness and righteousness leads to Paradise. A man continues to be truthful and encourages honesty until he is recorded with Allah as truthful. And beware of falsehood. Verily, falsehood leads to wickedness and wickedness leads to the Hellfire. A man continues tell lies and encourages falsehood until he is recorded with Allah as a liar.
Jesus taught that he calls a person "righteous", only when they are made to be righteous...upon confession of their sins and forgiveness of them. Further, Jesus said that no one can work their way to heaven by doing good. Only by grace, through faith in Jesus, to forgive us of all our sins and wash them away.

@LadyGrace In Islam, we believe that sincere repentance cleanses our souls. We don't enter Paradise by good deeds, but we do them to become better people in this world for ourselves and for others around us, and to gain God's mercy. We only enter Paradise through God's mercy.
@Madeleine Isn't it true that in the Islam faith, Jesus is not recognized as a personal Savior, as John 3:16 confirms, but only as a wise prophet? Jesus said that He is the only mediator between God and man, and the only way, truth, and life, by which man can be saved.

Yes, you are right. Works come after one is saved, not before. To do God's will and help people. But they are not so that one can keep themselves saved, because that is not possible. It is Jesus that does the keeping, not ourselves.

@LadyGrace Yes, it's true that in Islam we don't recognize Jesus (peace be upon him) as divine, but we do love him as one of the mightiest prophets and messengers of God, he is the Messiah, and his mother was virgin and his birth was miraculous.

I do respect your beliefs even though our interpretations of the Bible differ. You mentioned that Jesus said the he was the truth and the life, are you sure that Jesus exactly said that?
@Madeleine Yes. Scripture confirms that. Also, in John 3:15
Jesus says that no one comes to the Father, but by Me.

@LadyGrace True, but this is in English. We both know that Jesus never spoke English, he spoke Aramaic.
