I Am Enjoying Being A Muslim

[big]The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said:
"I and the one who looks after an orphan will be together like this [he raised his index and middle fingers together] in the next world."
[/big]

[big]
"The one who strives to help a widow or the poor is like one who struggles in the cause of God (jihad)."
[/big]

Orphans in Islam are children whose fathers have died. In the Islamic law, the orphans become the responsibility of the society. New Muslims who lose their families because of the conversion must also be included in this category. Orphans also applied to children of dysfunctional families, for all the facts and purposes they are orphans. The spirit of the Islamic charity would therefore dictate that society should provide for these orphans by providing foster care, housing and material and spiritual needs consistently, professionally and compassionately. I learned to be good to orphans and the needy, to speak nicely to people and to help the poor.

Somewhere in the world, right now, there are people who would love to be in our shoes. They have no food, no shelter, no family, and we have it all. The world's light doesn't come from the sun, but it comes from the orphan' smile.
