@hippyjoe1955 I actually doesnt get what her beliefs are so I just say it. Sorry if I done something wrong.
hippyjoe1955 · 70-79, M
@misaki Don't worry about hurting me. lol However as you get a little older you will find that one's beliefs dictate one's behaviors and some beliefs are bad for those around the believer. islam is one such belief system that results in evil where ever it is followed. No not all muslims are evil but the evil in the belief system will come out eventually. No it doesn't give me any thrill to say so. I truly wish islam was not like that but my wishes won't make it so.

@misaki Feel free to ask me all questions you desire.

In the beginning was one man and one woman. Islam has perverted that into one man and 4 women except for their false prophet who had 13 wives (by special dispensation which proves him to be false). As for the rest of your nonsense it remains nonsense. muslim women are 4th class citizens under sharia and are treated as such. Compare that to Christianity where Jesus did not permit the stoning of the woman caught in adultery and did not turn away the woman with an issue of blood. Peter went on to say that women are co-heirs in Christ Jesus. Mary who is highly esteemed (and no she was not the sister of Moses as mohammed believed). If you want to know real freedom and goodness ask Jesus to help you. Just as an aside : Why are you so afraid of Jesus and asking Him to help? mohammed said Jesus was a prophet so what harm is there in asking Jesus to help you understand reality?
hippyjoe1955 · 70-79, M
@Madeleine Yeah that sounds so noble and faithful. In fact it is simply burying your head in the sand because you want to believe X despite all the evidence that X is not true. As James said, " "You have faith; I have deeds." Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by my deeds". While you comfort your self believing what you have never experienced I take comfort in what I have experienced. old stinky mohammed was asked for some sort of sign that he was sent by God. All he could say was "well I dictated the quran". Of course that is no proof at all. One might as well say the theory of AGW is right because because it is the theory of AGW. Is it true? It has to be because everyone who believes in AGW says it is true. In the real world we look for evidence.

For example one night in prayer I was told that a miracle would happen tomorrow and it would come through my wife. The next day we set out for a distant city. It was a very cold January morning when we left but at least it all the roads were bare and clear. About an hour into the trip the wind picked up and it started to snow. Half an hour later the wind and snow had turned into a raging white out blizzard. These blizzards last for hours and sometimes days and we had just left the main road and were following a small country road that I could barely see. The weather got worse and soon I couldn't see the front of my car. Suddenly there were lights in front of me and I thought God has sent His angel to guide me. Unfortunately the lights turned off the road and we were on our own again. A few minutes later I told my wife that God had promised us a miracle today as I slowed to a crawl with my head out the side window trying to see the grass growing on the sides of the road. My face was soon frost bitten and I pulled my head back in and stopped before I hit the ditch. It was like being in a ping pong ball. No way forward no way backward and we had no idea how long we would be stuck there. My wife then blurted out, "Jesus you promised a miracle so HELP!" The words had no sooner left her lips than the wind stopped. the snow stopped the sun came out and we could see for miles. Literally from white out blinding blizzard to clear air and sunshine in the blink of an eye. We were humbled. Our God is Master of the Storm. Psalm 107:29 "He caused the storm to be still". You don't have any evidence that allah is anything beyond a fake idol and a rock in the desert. I have evidence that Jesus is fully God and rescues those He loves.

@hippyjoe1955 What evidence are you using? writings of unknown authors? or an event that has no eye witnesses? My belief is firm based on spiritual and intellectual evidence. It is unshakeable.
hippyjoe1955 · 70-79, M
@Madeleine Ha ha ha yeah right. mohammed would pull a verse out of thin air to support his situation even contradicting what he said last time. What I am saying is if I witness a miracle I don't need a lot of other witnesses to confirm what I saw. It simply confirms my faith to me. I have moved from a passive reader of others experiences to having experiences of my own.

After we made it to that distant city we found a place to live where I went to seminary. It was in the poorer part of town but very friendly people. I planned on going to school part time and working part time to support my family which consisted of me, my wife and 5 children. We had very little money as we had sold everything we had to pay off all our debts before we moved. We had about $2000.00 after I paid my tuition and books. The house we rented cost $550.00 per month and Dear Wife could stretch $200.00 per week to feed and clothe our children. I began to study and apply for jobs. No job offers came my way. One night in prayer Jesus told me I was about to live in the land of the miraculous. Despite my best efforts no work was available and we had no income. We live in that house for 3 and 1/2 years with no income. When a bill would come due we would pray about it then go to the bank and withdraw the money we needed. The money was always there. Week after week, month after month, year after year we continued to live this way. Our neighbours all wondered where our money came from and we would tell them that it came from the LORD. Some of them became Christian from seeing how we lived while others thought we were committing fraud or stealing other peoples' mail and cashing their cheques. To those who accused us we asked if they were ever missing cheque and they all said no. Finally I finished school and it was time to become a pastor in a church. There were no jobs where we lived so we moved again. We rented a house in a distant city and put all our things in a rented truck and moved. We settled into our new home and I got a job that paid $8.00 per hour in a warehouse. Someone noticed we didn't have a stove so they gave us a old green stove they had. Someone else noticed we didn't have a fridge so they gave us $300.00 to buy a fridge. Fridges cost about $750.00 so we had to find a used one somewhere. There was a used appliance store a few miles away so I phoned them to see if they had a used fridge. They did. It cost $250.00. I said I would be right up and we raced over to get the fridge. I told the store clerk what I wanted and she said "Oh you mean this one". It was a huge green fridge. The trouble was I had no way to get it home. The clerk said that they would deliver it for $50.00. Within the year making $8.00 an hour feeding a wife and 5 kids we soon had enough money to buy a second car. Then within the year our rental house was sold and we were told we had to move. I heard that there were houses for sale in another town but I didn't have any money. Someone came to me and said they wanted to buy a house for me but they only had $40,000.00. We went to the other town and found a real estate agent and told him how much money we had to spend. He kind of laughed then took us to see some houses. We walked into one house and Dear Wife and I immediately knew this was the house for us. The trouble was the asking price was a lot more than we could afford. We asked the real estate agent what we should do and he said put in an offer. We did and went back to our rental house. The phone rang. It was the agent. "congratulations you own the house" was all he said. A year from being broke and unemployed to owning two cars and a house while earning $8.00 per hour following three and a half years of unemployment and zero income. My God lives and reigns and takes care of His own.

Best of luck you; personally, I am not religious, but all are entitled to follow their own ideals. I hear and see bad things going on in many ideologies and don't think that that should happen.
Madeleine · 41-45, F
@Mert5356 Thank you. Mutual respect should be practiced.

Good luck with that. I don't believe in religions but I wish everyone the best with their own beliefs. I think we've talked about this before.
It's sort of sad that a beautiful sentiment about wishing to find a good man-- has generated all this response.

@dunpender Respectfully no, my post was about finding the right person for myself. Your comment, however, has nothing to do with what I said, it was merely an attack against my belief and an attempt to spread falsehood.

@dunpender If you don't believe in revelation, there's no point of discussing prophethood in the first place.
