I Am Enjoying Being A Muslim

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said:
"If anyone constantly seeks pardon (from God), God will appoint for him a way out of every distress and a relief from every anxiety, and will provide sustenance for him from where he expects not."
[big]
"By the One in Whose Hand my soul is! If you do not commit sins, God would replace you with a people who would commit sins and seek forgiveness from God; and God will certainly forgive them."
[/big]
“Our Lord descends to the heaven on the last third of every night, and he says: Who is calling upon Me that I may answer him? Who is asking from Me that I may give him? Who is seeking My forgiveness that I may forgive him?”
The most beautiful blessing we have been given is the chance to repent. O God, I seek your forgiveness for every sin that has drawn me near to Your punishment, or has distanced me from Your reward, or has hidden from me Your mercy, or has sullied from me Your blessings.

[Quran 5:74]
"Will they not repent to God and ask His forgiveness? God is Forgiving and Merciful."
hi Madeleine
If you do not commit sins, God would replace you with a people who would commit sins?
What does that mean? I thought the point of religion was for people not to sin?
Best wishes

@sogdianrock It's an expression to show how great God's mercy is .. it's not about sin, but about forgiveness.

hi Madeleine
Thanks. All the rest make sense within the idea avoid sin but that one seems to be saying sin is preferable to being good because forgiveness is vital. Well it seems a bit odd to say good people will be replaced with sinners so the forgiveness can continue. Better surely if everyone did what they should and there was less sin not more?
Best wishes

@sogdianrock Thank you for your thoughts. God gave us free will for a reason. All mankind commit sins, and that what makes us humans. It's not that God loves us to sin, but God loves us to repent, and that what distinguishes a good person from a bad one.
