I Am Enjoying Being A Muslim

I learned that I should always consider my intellect to be lacking; otherwise too much faith in it surely leads to error.

Knowledge is in three things: the Quran, the Sunnah, and to say "I do not know". The first step in knowledge is to listen, then to be quiet and attentive, then to preserve it, then to put into practice, and then to spread it.

We must learn to be quiet just as we learn to talk, because if talking guides us, being quiet protects us. By being quiet we attain two characteristics: we are able to take knowledge from those more knowledgeable than us and we are able to repel the ignorance of those more ignorant than us. Knowledge without intelligence is like having shoes with no feet, and intelligence without knowledge is like having feet with no shoes.

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said:
"The cure of ignorance is to question."
to say you do not know isn't a bad thing
