Milkweed bugs

What I thought were boxelder bugs are actually these guys. So now I’ve got to do some research on them because they’re all around the yard (the whole neighborhood really) and lurking around my garden; so I need to know what they’re about like some kind of nosy neighbor. 🧐

Do they give milk along with weed?

@DanielsASJ They mostly eat milkweed plants, which apparently monarch butterflies need. But, where I’m at, there haven’t been monarchs around for years really, so I don’t see them as a problem for now.
I know you were making a joke, but I’m in info-mode as I’m researching. 🙂
