I Hate Insects

I bought an electric bug killer from Lowes yesterday. We have about 20+ wood bees that are destroying our wooden hand rail. The females eat an amazingly round hole in the wood, normally on the underside. The mails then "guard" the female who pretty much remains inside the wood. The males are a pest (look like bumblebees) the killer looks like a tennis racket, but with wire mesh instead of the normal plastic face. It is battery powered and as you swing the racket you push a button which electrifies the wires. When you hit them they get fried.
We got all but one of the males last night. If they are gone then the females generally die as there is no one to guard or feed them.
Anyone else have bug issues, this is an inexpensive way to eradicate the problem.

They really are great all kidding aside

@Mktonght Yeah, I suppose I could turn mine on when I leave the patio. 🤔But then ya want it on when you're there. 😐🕷🐜🐜

So you have the hanging kind? I would move it away from the patio at least 110' so the issue is not important, it will still attract the little gritters. You will then be worry free.

@Mktonght Yes, I have the ones that you hang. Good idea, I'll put it further from the house, I have a rod iron pole I can hang it on. Thank you for helping me remember that! 🎑💥🐜
