Gonna be left bias adjectives, but factually highly rated and useful information. I’ve never thought any online presence was private, but it’s just extra creepy now we’re on a fast slide to being Russia 2.0 and all our usual stuff is part of the circle jerk. Nice to know there are other options anyway, even if they’re only somewhat less gross.

I actually took out a proton mail account a long time ago, but I have not used it in a while. I did not realize it was a Swiss company.

I might start using that account again, or open a new one.

the best and easiest thing you can do is to ensure you're not constantly logged into google. This usually means you do not use google chrome.

@MartinTheFirst nope don’t use that at least and switched to duck duck go for searches a long time ago. I just still have accounts everywhere that I suppose I ought to just scrap. 🤷‍♀

@FoolishLuna while I love the easy access to information and the fact I’ve gotten to meet all you incredible people, I am thinking it has done more harm than good overall and imagine that harm will escalate like everything else has. We’re in another of mankind’s troughs, and the weapons we have this time are the scariest yet. 😞
