I Am Not Looking For An Online Relationship

It's possible for people to fall in love with or feel close to someone online. If you open up to someone you've never met in person, you'll get hurt if you find out that person isn't who he or she said he or she was. Friendships online could turn romantic. It becomes a problem if you're already married or in a romantic relationship. Online friendships may not last. The person who isn't ready to say goodbye will end up getting hurt. We can't know the true feelings and thoughts of the other person. We can't know if he or she is serious about the online relationship or online friendship. You may never meet in real life. His or her words may be meaningless. His or her actions are important signals that tell us whether his or her intentions are for the good or bad.

Very good of you to point these things out... I think people need to keep these things in mind when dealing with these situations. I know I have had heart breaks online or in real life its painful and takes time to heal. Life is not easy- one should constantly evaluate what the pros and cons of each relationship... is the risks worth it.

Sure it can go either way,i have had online friendships that ended up nowhere, but i still have memories and the time spent is better than being alone. :)
Its a slippery slope, and being marriex doesn't lessen the dangers. Ive been there years ago.

That's the risk you take....if you will never meet, why bother in the first place...
