I Tried Online Dating

A beautiful older woman sought me out, and she was interested. She was as close to perfect as a guy nearly 20 years too young could ask for. And I think she ghosted me because I wasn't willing to meet immediately during all of this covid craziness. I don't regret being honest, but it sucks to miss out on something that could've been great.

Lol she sounds like she has common sense. If shes older, you know older people have a bigger chance in getting it right? People are just better staying home and video chatting till everything is cleared up.

@xXAlternativeblkchicxX I think she disappeared because SHE WANTED to meet, and I said I didn't think it'd be reasonable until late spring/early summer at least. I proposed watching movies, calling, even doing a class together online as possible ideas for the drawing board. Then she went poof.
@kismet aaaaahhh now that makes sense. Oof I'm sorry man. People are just risking it all.

@xXAlternativeblkchicxX your going to die eventually, worst case is that you'd be sick for a while. should have taken joy when it was available
@shadedsly I already been near death at age 11 I rather spend it safely as long as I can. So yeah I've been sick before and I'm technically still am with a weak immune system. It's better to be smart about your life then live recklessly.

@xXAlternativeblkchicxX life and survival are different things. a hundred years locked in the tower, or ten lived among the world for all its faults. i know where my own preference lies, thats all.
@shadedsly lol I've been home schooled and in locked down for 3 years before even going to the outside world because you're body needs time to recover.

Now you are a healthy, extroverted person with no medical problems so you would have no problem with this thinking it's just 'flu' by all means go outside.

But the only good thing you healthy people can do is wash yall damn hands, stay home if any symptoms, stay away from friends or loved ones when you know their immune system isnt the strongest.

Life and survival is the same thing if you had been through shit. Its different for everyone. You can still live you life safely through social media, calling, video chatting, mail!

It's not that hard.

Humans adapt right? Then why not just stay safe and smart about it?

@xXAlternativeblkchicxX i know where my preference lies. that's all.
@shadedsly alright, wear a mask, bring hand sanitizer with you at all costs, stay 6ft away from people. Oh and dont touch your face it makes it spread.

Good luck

@shadedsly Lol. You definitely sound like someone who lives in theory but not in practice. Be sick, dying, or in danger of losing your life for whatever you think is so important, and I bet you'll have some more perspective.

@xXAlternativeblkchicxX Thanks for the encouragement, and for trying to save this man's (Shadedsly's) life. I think the cabin fever is getting to his head lol.
@kismet you're welcome, I just cant with people like him with that mindset. I cant force them to think the same way but there would be less death if people stayed home and/or kept others safe.

@kismet there a lot of assumptions happening here. just to be fair to the discourse, im an "essential" worker, so i go outside and work everyday. im not trapped, i can go anywhere i want. i discovered a new taco truck that is a short walk from my work, and it was worth the try. i fully support the quarantine, and think people should be safe. what i dont understand is regret. stand by your decision, and you at least have your integrity. meet the girl or dont, but dont make a decision and then post something here looking for what? validation?
kismet · 31-35, M
@shadedsly Well, my guy. Congrats on being an essential worker and thank you for your service. I never said I regretted what I did. Even think I said that in a different comment that I didn't regret it. Don't come to my post and get mad that your perspective wasn't validated. You sound like a theoretical hole chanting yolo and saying it's better to die on your feet than live on your knees. Did you ask me how I felt about it before you made your assumption? Did you check why I posted? Nope. Check your premises and back off. Also, visiting a taco truck isn't some existential bliss lol. You /really/ sound like someone who's going stir crazy.
shadedsly · 26-30, M
@kismet that is a very well put statement that repeats an appropriate amount of the vocabulary i used in the prior response, well done. i admit to not following the rest of your post, because i don't care that much, but never let it be said that i cant be made to change my ways, as i now fully agree with xXAlternativeblkchicxX . at least the first comment anyway, that woman was smart to avoid you.
kismet · 31-35, M
@shadedsly Lol. Stay bitter and proud. Avoid the pieces that you don't like, and see yourself in what you do. All I've got left to say is just live that crooked, contradictory life away from me. Bye now.
