I Tried Online Dating

Online dating is insane. There's so much deception.
People represent themselves as they'd LIKE to be seen, not how they really are.

I always felt dating sites or anything like it sounded more like trying to find a good way to sell yourself to others with a good advertisement. lol

Public meetings still happen. A lot depends on the people and if they are willing to make an effort to talk to other people. Just my thoughts

Nope you can’t put yourself in a glass box as someone said. I thought online was a good place to start being just moved to a new town but not anymore as I make new friends with a new job I ditched the internet site. Kabam!!! There are a lot of good men out there I’m sure. Hopefully I will meet one.

Bookstore/wifi-cafe? Folks are usually there for extended periods of time.. sober intellectuals, easiest place to start a conversation about virtually, anything. Depending on the section they're in or the book they may have.

I think you run into those crazies in real life too. The possible bonus to online dating is that sometimes you learn they're crazy before you meet in person. On the other hand, they can also hide it more easily online until you meet them.

Either way, for your own safety I think you should always meet a new person in public first. Anyone that doesn't want to do that obviously has ulterior motives.
