I'm Addicted To The Internet

I just found this site like a day ago, and I didn't have much time to look at it yesterday. I came back today and I've been on here literally all day... I have probably close to 30 tabs open all of this site... I might have an unhealthy addiction... It'll probably blow over in a few days... Maybe

Happy to meet you as well. I'm hoping this doesn't shut down like EP did. That's where I was before, but then it shut down. Don't know how long it's been since then but a bit unfortunate I didn't find this place then. I'm glad I managed to find it at all though.

@camoboy00 I was on EP for nearly seven years before it shut down. I think SW started barely three days after EP closed. Those of us who were aware that it was in the works, asked to be notified by email, and I came here the day I got the notice, and I'm here most days, for a few hours.

Wow, I wish I had been one of those informed haha, oh well though. Can't change the past, just glad to be here now. ^_^

@camoboy00 So, what have you been doing for the past year and a bit?
camoboy00 · 26-30, M
Not much, I think around the time EP closed I was starting college, it was either that or I had been there for about a year. The time starts to blur together after a bit. I was in college for about 2 and a half years, graduated just before this summer. I don't know if that was when EP closed, but essentially all I've been doing is college since then. Nothing too interesting. I mean there's more but nothing really out of the ordinary.

@camoboy00 EP shut down in April 2016.

College is good. Better that standing on a corner smoking and girl watching.

@Serenitree That's true, wish I knew what to do with my life now though haha. I'm not a very physically strong person and for a guy that means a lot of jobs are off the market for me, besides that I was very sheltered by my parents, so my experience is very limited, I'm intelligent, but I have no idea what I'm doing. I'm trying to learn though.

Also good to know. I was definitely in college by that point.

@camoboy00 what did you major in?
camoboy00 · 26-30, M
@Serenitree I majored in computer game development. Unfortunately that also isn't really something you can take advantage of when first looking for a job to make money so I can buy the things to go into game development.

@camoboy00 My great grandson is planning to take that when he goes to college next year. He has already begun working on it. He has also built himself a computer. It took a year and cost more than a brand new HP, but man, it is beautiful. He got a job after school four days a week, and five hours on Saturday in order to pay for the parts. Now he is saving his earnings to start the game development. He has already made a couple, but that was back when he was in grade 9 and went to computer camp for a month in the summer. They are very simple. But he proved to himself he could do it. I'm extremely proud of him. He has gone through a lot, and come out on top.

That's nice to know. Sounds like he got started early, best of luck to him in his career.

@camoboy00 I'm hoping he will continue to work as hard as he has been. He's smart enough and he has the drive, but so far, although he's had a couple of girlfriends, he hasn't fallen in love. Sometimes love can be a distraction. Hah! Sometimes? Most of the time I think.
