Is this a valid email domain?

"yahoomail.com"
I got an official email via a phone call, and the dude said "@yahoomail.com".....and now I'm not sure if it's valid or if it's how you write it out.....google says it's not valid. Then why did this dude say so? I can't call until tomorrow.....ugh.
