what's the best way to respond to this online situation on social media
i've had the problem from time to time on social media, where i've seen a post where someone posted something i was in strong disagreement with, or they weren't right about what they were posting...and a few times where i didn't understand the point someone was making, so replied to them and asked them to clarify their points?
but in all those situations, when i've replied to the person directly as kind of a challenge, they ignore me and don't respond? which made me more wound up by their unresponsiveness.....and also maybe they wanted a reaction, they got one by me responding, and so they fade back into the woodwork, because they've had their desired effect, and so think they have gained the ' upper hand'?, so stopped responding.....either way i found that behaviour so infuriating.
my question is simple; how should i respond when people on social media do that? because i wind myself up, get frustrated and annoyed, which is exactly what that person wanted, so i fell in their trap.
