do you think the internet has changed much from back in the early to mid 2000s

if it's changed much, in what ways would you say it has changed? do you think there's still the same number or amount of websites that there was back in those times? for eg- ordinary not big corporation websites, just independent sites which an average person puts up, ie - maybe a fan site created to a cult following of an 1980s series?

do you understand what i mean? i don't mean big corporate or big company or big tech sites....just independent sites ordinary people have created.

is there more censorship or restriction on the net now which affect what we see or have access too? is the internet less free in that way?

i still love the internet and just , in a way, hoping for reassurance that there's the same abundance of websites that there used to be.

I looked it up, but I figured it was probably a lot more. Plus, also think about how much better streaming has gotten since then. Back then you were really streamed if at all. And the smart phone gave us the Internet hand held everywhere we go. And yes, I think a lot of smaller businesses have some sort of a website.
