can anyone reassure me about the internet
i still really love the internet, although i really hate the AI that is everywhere online now, also the restrictive aspect about being on social media now.......but still love being on the internet......however i do much prefer the internet of the mid or early 2000s, the ' wild west days' of the internet...when it felt unrestricted and ' free'.
but back in those times there was tons of websites i was interested in and had saved and bookmarked...but my computer at that time had a major crash, which was irreparable...i tragically never backed anything up at the time and thus, lost everything i saved and bookmarked.....all those websites i saved at the time ; gone.
so what i'm asking here, will all those websites i was interested in at that time, which was mainly old user fan created Tolkien websites, Lord of the rings fan created websites and art......also websites related to Robin of sherwood, the 1980s tv show - will all those great old sites still be somewhere on the internet if i look for them in the search engines??
i'm just dreading all those websites i liked might of been deleted or don't exist anymore because the early- mid 2000s is long ago now, and these sites were a lot of my pastime and interest and gave me happiness.
i'd really appreciate if there's someone out there knows what i'm asking and can inform me?
