What a difference from the days of flipping channels?

Now it’s streaming services watch what you want what you want. And some are even free. Tons of free content. But I used to flip through the channels and stopped on something watch her for a little bit, and maybe go around again. Or you knew what was on when it was on. I don’t have cable or satellite anymore.

Didn't cable or satellite cost at least $100 a month? of course they would nickel and dime for "good" channels that showed repetitive programming.

THEN people who subscribed would always say, "There is nothing good to watch."

I thought, "Why would people pay $100+ a month to watch nothing?" One can watch "nothing" for free.

@HoeBag yes that is why we just need internet now. And if you want to pay for streaming service it can be much less

@Jonjdw I do not subscribe to streaming, or anything really.

I do not know how it works but was reading that there are tons of them and everything is split up so you have to pay for several just to watch whatever shows you want.

I am not into TV anyways so OTA works for me. TV is just background noise in my house.

@HoeBag well, in my house, we have 10 people. All family and we do have Netflix Hulu, Disney. Prime But that’s also for the free shipping. And sometimes off an on we have Peacock or Paramount. Depending upon what somebody wants to pay for or wants to watch. But the smart TV comes with the Roku channel, and it’s more than just a channel. Roku has tons of stuff for free. It all comes free with the TV.
