why are search engines all AI now

something i noticed only recently, google search has AI search and assistant now, duckduckgo also has 'duck ai' and AI assisted search....i don't want that!! i just want the old traditional search method, the usual 'normal' search that we've had since these search engines came about? ...i don't want anything to do with AI.

i haven't really checked properly, but can you still just use the normal search method and choose not to use AI?
