Life Before the Internet and other technology

What are some things we lived without back then which is hard to believe based on our dependence on them today? Something other than just the cell phone. Okay to mention Apps though. For me it’s GPS.

Paper towels, Pampers, microwaves, even an electric washing machine and dryer. There's a whole list of things we didn't have back then. No videos or VCRs. Not even the internet.

@LadyGrace I guess I was asking about these last 30 years, around the time of the internet. So much of what we do today is in some way affected by WiFi. I do remember life before pampers and microwaves and absolutely VHS? I remember being fascinated by the idea that soon I’d be able to watch a show while taping another show at the same time. Then came video stores!
@4thdimensiondream Yeh, the video stores were great. Now they're gone.

@LadyGrace I found my moms old book from the 50s on baby care.
They had to sterilize bottles and make the formula themselves if they couldn't afford to buy the commercial formulas.
Cloth diapers with rubber pants.
