Don't Fall For QR Code And "Tap" Scams

Criminals have been going around, replacing bar codes at restaurants/tourist spots, with their own.

You scan the QR code, and it takes you to their site where they will try to syphon your passwords, by asking you to re-enter the password, or something like that.

Make sure the QR code has not replaced.

Another very potent attempt to separate you from your money, is replacing the wireless tap sticker with their own. The minute you tap our phone or card, it's going to steal whatever it can, and there will be no interaction with you.

You should try to see if yo can peel the sticker, the fake stuff is easily peel'able.

Credit card companies are working on solutions, but in the meanwhile...

I always ask for a paper menu cause I don’t even know how to scan with my phone let alone open up and read a QR code or whatever they are.
