I'm somewhat confused by how most people interact on the internet

People seem to want a high degree of openness without establishing any kind of relationship first.

That's how many people operate and then the other side is surprised why they don't want to establish a closer relationship. Why would they? They just wanted to dump their secrets anonymously.
