Strange person I met.

I recently made a friend online they don't have my number we only talk online through messages on IG. Recently I started to believe this person is watching me through my camera. They claim to work for the government but won't tell me exactly what. Yet, their page on ig consists of them dancing and talking about horoscope signs. They never blink in their videos and seems to always be inside at home.

Yes, it is possible for someone to take control over your webcam. Usually it's done through a virus or malware. Get yourself some malware detection/protection software. Total AV seems to cost about $20 per year.

I saw a documentary about Zuckerberg some time ago, and he had a piece of tape over the camera on his PC. That was a warning.

@Richard65 i just put a piece of black tape over my pc camera.... I'm sure my phone is being watched..... never had these problems in the 80's.....lol

Check setting on your camera in the device you are using.

Or failing that a piece of tape works
