remember years back when downloading music, media, film was a thing? well does anybody still do it?

Yes I do collect my favourites. That way, I can edit them, change the song order, delete the bad tracks. I trim the intros and exits, cut out the chorus repetitions if theres too many. Sometimes the song is bad but the solo is good, so I keep what I like and create fade in /outs so it blends in. All for my listenning pleasure.
