With your Macbook change the operating system.
Yes you can change the operating systems on Cellphones, Tablets and other smart devices.
Git rid of the Apple OS and run a Unix bare bones system and watch that thing work twice as fast and last twice as long.
It the Operating system eating up all the ram and slowing your device down and eating up the battery.
