about the Alert Sound that lets you know a comment of message has hit

I like it,, and am not sure how to turn it off or on
it was on,, now seems off"

@RedBaron it seems sporadic. there used to be a button for that.
cant find it now..
but THIS reply made the sound.. last one did not
