What kind of "routine maintenance" does Spectrum do in which they could find a problem with your network?

Spectrum is saying they did routine maintenance (where?) and realize I have an issue with my network. Whether I see the problem now or not, making an appointment now will prevent problems with tge network in the future.

So, what kind of problem did they find and where? Any ideas?

I'll call later. Just curious what you guys think.

They can do a router diagnostic test..
Check the speeds, signal strength and connectivity..
Ask about the cost of the service and appointment..
Could be legit or an angle to pitch an upgrade..

@Onestarlitnight Thank you. What I'm wondering is what "regular maintenance" caused them to notice something is wrong with my network? They weren't at my house, so how do they know something is going on here?
@perceptivei
They can do these maintenance checks remotely.. they don't have to be there physically to see a potential issue but they might need direct access to your equipment to pinpoint the problem.

@Onestarlitnight Also, I received the message at 9 something in the morning today. It's Sunday. So, they noticed the problem...when? Last night or Sunday morning?

I'm simply curious to know what kind of regular maintenance they did *and where?* to realize my network might be compromised.
@perceptivei
They probably run these checks routinely on all of their accounts..
It's preventive and automatic.. people are alerted if the system finds a potential problem

@Onestarlitnight Thank you.

I don't understand why they're noticing a problem with my network now.
@perceptivei
Probably just want to sell you an upgrade..
Just make sure that the service call is no charge.

@Onestarlitnight I wish I understood it better is all. I don't necessarily like anyone I don't know in my house. Last time Spectrum visited, he was here all day and all in my basement and inside my house...and outside. I rather not have strangers in my home. So, I can't help but question it.

@Onestarlitnight There won't be a charge. They can sell over the phone. They know I want to lower my bill not increase it...
