Rage on the Internet

Interesting the people who rage on the Internet on sites like this about perceived injustice etc. When you ask them what they’re actually doing about it themselves on a practical level - eg giving to the poor - they call you a troll and block you! What does that tell you about them?
Kind of like the people who are against abortion because of the poor fetuses, but couldn’t care less about them after they’re born.

@Mathers So you don't think people should be allowed to have a say in how they die? Especially when it's so often predicated by alleviating the pain of loved ones? Let me guess. You're big on freedom, right? Yeah. I bet that's what it is.
Mathers · 61-69
No because when you read what thinking people say a lot of the people who are now being given the death sentence are just those who are being removed from society because it’s inconvenient for society to have them and you might be the next. Your problem is that people like you do not think. People like you are big on freedom to kill people. I tend to be more on freedom to preserve life. @Ynotisay

I think it's acceptable to hold strong views about something without having a physical role in making it change. If making change were necessary to justify a strong opinion then sports fans would no longer be able to complain about their teams. They don't obtain coaching qualifications and apply to coach those teams. At best they buy some merchandise and go to the games but then many are just armchair fans who contribute nothing other than strong opinions.

The argument that you are hypocritical if you say but don't do is simply used to derail arguments without dealing with the subject matter.

I don’t mind people going on about it but it’s when you challenge them they get all defensive and call you a troll ! Just shows they are not actually interested in changing anything @SW-User
You sure are raging on the internet a lot.

It tells me that "look at me" grievance is driving a whole lot of people. Irrespective of beliefs. We're still pretty new to this social media thing and, clearly, we need to collectively find our way. We're not there yet.
People can be dumb.

@LeopoldBloom could be. IDK. I’m not really a part of the left right paradigm. I just do my own thing.
@JustGoneNow Fair enough. I tend to be more sensitive to those double standards.
@LeopoldBloom makes sense. be well.

I might complain at times, though not frequently, yet I block or mute no one.

There's only one person I ever blocked in over thirty years being on the internet. And that was on another site before I came on this site.

Because a lot of people on the internet are rude to each other regardless of the topic.

Not practicing what they preach probably. Wishful thinking fantasy land.

It means all talk. Isn't that what the social media is - all talk no do?
