Semi colon day

Today is Semicolon Day — a day that may not mean much to some, but to many of us it carries weight.

The semicolon is more than a piece of punctuation. It represents a pause, not an ending. A choice to keep going when it felt impossible. A reminder that even when life gets unbearably heavy, there’s still another chapter left to write.

For those who carry scars—visible or not—for those who have battled thoughts of ending it all, and for those still fighting every single day, this day is for you.

The semicolon is a symbol of survival, of resilience, of the strength it takes to continue when giving up feels like the easier option.

I carry that reminder with me every day. No matter how many tattoos I get, the smallest one on my wrist will always mean the most. It marks a moment I could have ended my story but didn’t. Proof that I chose to stay. Proof that I kept going when I thought I couldn’t. Maybe tomorrow I won’t continue but on that day I choose to fight and everyday I wake up and make it through the day I’ll trace it and say I made it one more day

So today, I honor everyone who has chosen to stay. Everyone who has ever whispered “just one more day.” Everyone who feels unseen in their pain but continues on anyway.
