I avoid those trying to fix me. Accept me. Only i can fix me
@Bexsy exactly. I think some people mean well, but it's also kinda degrading and unsolicited. I deal with my junk. I vent but I deal with it. I don't ask for anything because like you said, we're responsible for ourselves.

What's the timeline on that fixing stuff finna kick in?? ;-)
Fixing one's self is never easy, but powerful when achieved. We should all have such a project or two underway.

you don't get fixed
the best you can do is get comfortable in your skin
the best you can do is get comfortable in your skin
@Pretzel exactly. I'll take kindness and support, but the people that think they can fix others need to look inward as to why they feel the need. It's not on me. I'm good with me even if I had questions and doubts

@MarbleMarvel reminds me of a story
a genie sees a person with a difficult life - and carry a load of issues on their back.
"I can help you" says the genie - "you see in that room is a all manner of human afflictions..I see you are carrying a large load - perhaps you would like to exchange it for a different one"
the person sets down the bag and walks into the room and examines the problems they could exchange theirs for...
after a few minutes the person walks out shoulders the bag and says "no thanks...there are burdensome but at least I've gotten used to the ones I've carried for so long"

I'm a self made man - which says a lot about using unskilled labor
You don't need fixing though.
@Teggy no, I don't. I need kindness and love.
