Tears just showed you cared

Perhaps it was wrong to care
Perhaps those I cried over never gave me a second thought.
But, I'm not ashamed of those tears because at the time I loved them.
It is they that should be ashamed for being cruel.
I will not stoop to their level and become cruel like them.
