Any one know the origin of this beautiful thought?

It is true. And even a woman or man could be as beautiful as they want on the outside but if they're hateful in the inside, I don't think they're beautiful. It's what is in the heart that counts. I adore people with kind hearts. They are a blessing from God
@LadyGrace It doesnt fit Kylie J perhaps but someone else?
@WhisperinAngelic101 I just don't know honey. So I can't say.

Proverbs 31:30

@PoeticPlay What a wonderful idea.
@PoeticPlay I love that little poster you put up. "Gentleman" being the key word here. And I've yet to find one. hahaha
@LadyGrace I too like the idea!

Beauty certainly is fleeting. Best to have a personality to go with it. Charm can be deceptive. But it doesn't have to be.
if only celebrities like selena Gomez were more widespread,she claims to be a nice girl and is beautiful, admirable and all of those things! I like following her on social media.

@WhisperinAngelic101 i don't know too much about her. I know she battled addiction and she is living with lupus. But she seems like she is living her best life despite that now so that's good for her. Whoever you follow don't put too much faith in them. They are regular humans after all and they make mistakes.
@TheunderdogofNY She talks openly about her faith and is such a kind hearted girl...atleast in the world of the rich and famous?

It is from the biblical book of proverbs.
Proverbs 31:30 Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.
Charm can be deceptive and beauty certainly is fleeting in deception. God created beauty as testimony to His wonderful creative work. I hope this helps.
@GodSpeed63 I didnt get trolled today! I feel so brave!
@GodSpeed63 it helps so much! Thank you!

It sounds like something in the Bible but it's been years since I've read it
@FreeSpirit1 kind of sweet if you see the reason behind the reason

Charm is not always deceptive. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
@MichaelT original thought! Did you read the whole phrase? I'd love it if you googled both the phrase and the ancient analogy behind it?
Smokey · 46-50, M
I think I just seen it on SW
@Smokey do you think charm is deceptive?

Idk, but not sure charm is always deceptive.

@WhisperinAngelic101 u think charm is unnatural, then?
@Wiseacre not too sure what charm is, but I read that charm is dying and people dont open doors or pull chairs for their friends anymore? If thats what charm is, then its not deceptive right?
Wiseacre · F
@WhisperinAngelic101 etiquette, not charm.

Charm and beauty are what is seen and are temporary. But what is unseen, our inner beings, are eternal. And so, we should put much more effort into growing and developing as followers of Christ than we do in prettying up our outside appearances.
@Lilnonames you are so brave. Thanks!
